Geodis Reorganises its Senior Management Team.

Following his recent appointment as SNCF’s Deputy Chief Executive Officer in charge of the Transport & Logistics division, Pierre Blayau decided to reorganise Geodis’ senior management team. On 9 June 2008, he made the following appointments:
Jean-Louis Demeulenaere as Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Strategic Planning, Business Development and Operations, and head of the Freight Forwarding, Contract Logistics, Groupage and Full Truckload divisions.
Alain Picard as Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Corporate Finance, and Senior Vice President in charge of Finance for SNCF’s Transport & Logistics division.
Jean-Paul Vignal as Director, Contract Logistics.
Jean-Louis Demeulenaere, 56, graduated from École Supérieure de Commerce de Paris to begin his career at Société Générale. He then went on to work for major industrial groups Thomson, Alcatel and Shell, first within Corporate Finance and subsequently as a member of senior management. He joined Tailleur Industrie in 1993 and at the end of 1996 became Vice President of the Logistics division for Geodis, before being appointed Managing Director of Geodis Solutions in 2001. In June 2006, he was appointed Senior Vice President responsible for Strategic Planning and Business Development.
Alain Picard, 44, graduated from ESSEC to pursue a career in finance and purchasing. He held successive management positions at Rhône Poulenc, Valéo and PPR, going on to serve as Director of Financial Planning and Management Control for Moulinex. He then worked as Director of Budgets and Financial Planning for EDF, before joining Geodis in 2001 as Director of Management Control and Purchasing. Senior Vice President in charge of Finance and Purchasing since June 2006, he has served as Senior Vice President, Corporate Finance since April 2007.
Jean-Paul Vignal, 49, graduated from Sciences Politiques Toulouse and started his career in 1982 at SNCF where he held various operations and sales management positions. He joined Geodis in 1998 as Assistant to the Chairman and was then appointed Director of Automotive Logistics for Geodis BM, subsequently adding Press and Air Freight operations to his responsibilities. In 2005, he was appointed Senior Vice President of Geodis BM in charge of Logistics and Distribution, and served in that capacity until being appointed Vice President of the Geodis Contract Logistics division in March 2007.
