3. ENVIRONMENT Electrifi cation of warehouse handling equipment As part of its decarbonization plan, the Group is aiming to convert 100% of its handling equipment fl eet to electric power by 2030. A worldwide call for tenders was launched in 2024 to ensure that the best possible conditions are available to all the regions. This call for tenders will enable the gradual conversion of forklifts and other equipment and the phasingout of equipment powered by gas or diesel engines. Results ● 13 sites ISO 50001 certifi ed ● 66% of surfaces equipped with LED lighting ● 37% low-carbon electricity (from renewable or nuclear sources) Energy consumption in 2022, 2023 and 2024 by consumption item (in GWh)(1) 2022 2023 2024 Fuel for vehicles(2) 1,116 Electricity 270 Purchase of steam, heat, cooling No data Purchase of steam, heat, cooling No data Purchase of steam, heat, cooling 7 Fuels(3), heating 190 1,576 Fuel for vehicles(2) 889 Electricity 263 Fuels(3), heating 217 1,369 1,449 Fuel for vehicles(2) 971 Electricity 264 Fuels(3), heating 207 Total energy consumption fell by 8% between 2022 and 2024, despite the integration of new activities and more comprehensive accounting (notably purchases of steam, heat and cooling). Fuel consumption by GEODIS’s truck fl eet is down compared to 2022 on a like-for-like basis, despite the increase in the number of vehicles: this is largely due to lower diesel consumption in Europe, where consumption has fallen on average from 30.34 to 29.80 l/100 km. Kerosene consumption in 2024 was higher than in 2023, but lower than in 2022. Despite an increase in the surface areas operated, electricity and gas consumption are practically stable (up 0.5%), due to energy effi ciency initiatives and a slowdown in activity at certain sites. (1) Data for 2022 and 2023 has been adjusted by harmonizing the GWh calculation, and specifically for 2023 by rectifying the conversion factor for CNG and bioCNG, along with a correction for gas in the United States. (2) Transport vehicles, handling equipment, company cars, yard tractors: diesel, gasoline, kerosene, B100, HVO, CNG, LNG. (3) Gas, LPG, heating oil. 52 - 2024 ACTIVITY AND SUSTAINABILITY REPORT
