GEODIS’ FSC Index is based on data provided by IATA. Every Friday, IATA provides a Jet Fuel Price Index on their website https://www.iata.org/en/publications/economics/fuel-monitor/.
As the GEODIS FSC index is published bi-weekly, only the value from the second and the last Friday of each month are used. The GEODIS FSC Index is based on the cost in USD per metric tons.
This value is taken as index value and leads to the corresponding FSC values for both, Short- and Long- Haul. These are also shown in the GEODIS Global fuel price mechanism.
