GEODIS recognized for its policy on equal opportunities

As part of the GEEIS* for diversity and equal opportunities in the workplace, Bureau Veritas has renewed the certification attributed to GEODIS in 9 countries for its commitment to professional equality.

The assessment follows an audit carried out from March 18 to 25, 2015 that concluded successfully for GEODIS. Two years after receiving certification for the quality of its professional equality policy, this new achievement rewards the efforts rolled out at the Group to take account of diversity and improve equal opportunities in the workplace. The certification criteria notably address action plans by country, raising employees’ awareness of diversity, initiatives on non-discrimination, and measures aimed at enhancing the work-life balance.

“This certification approach is an integral part of the Group’s corporate social responsibility and responsible employer policy,” said Marie-Christine Lombard, Chief Executive Officer of GEODIS. “I am convinced that fostering diversity wherever we are present is an opportunity to develop the skills of our employees and improve our performance.”

* The GEEIS (Gender Equality European and International Standard) contributes to the promotion of a shared international culture of equal opportunities in the workplace. The standard is based on nine audit criteria to which correspond three levels, from the acknowledgment of a formal commitment on a criterion through to the continuous assessment of the criteria.
