GEODIS recently supported a major petrochemical project in the UK by transporting break bulk cargo by sea from Marghera Port in Italy to Southhampton Port in the UK. The shipment was successfully completed in 11 days, all the while maintaining real time shipment updates and operating under strict and enhanced HSSE and country restrictions due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

Despite these challenges, GEODIS UK Industrial Project team achieved success by working closely with all stakeholders including customers, port authorities, surveyors, and barge operators to avoid any delays and, importantly, to ensure a safe environment for all involved.
