How does IATA update the Dangerous Goods Regulations?

The IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR) is a globally recognized manual published and updated annually by IATA. It provides comprehensive rules for the safe transport of hazardous materials (dangerous goods) by air. This includes classification, packing, labeling, and documentation requirements.

IATA updates the DGR each year by adding new UN codes (identifiers for specific dangerous goods) and packaging instructions. These updates reflect new risks, regulatory changes, and advancements in safety standards for transporting dangerous goods by air.
