In July GEODIS became a corporate member of the Michelin Challenge Bibendum (MCB) think and action tank, a true collaborative space for future-looking thinking, innovation and experimentation.
This non-commercial organization is working to consolidate and pursue the initiatives it has led since 1998 to foster sustainable, responsible and resolutely modern mobility. By joining the transport player ecosystem, GEODIS becomes a leading contributor to thinking on tomorrow’s sustainable mobility, particularly in goods transport.
MCB’s remit is to:
• Devise innovative solutions for improved mobility;
• Form a unified ecosystem of private and public decision-makers;
• Build a shared vision of the future;
• Initiate co-innovation projects.
MCB members include Total, Faurecia, Accenture, IBM, Solvay and Safran.
For the COP21 climate change conference in December 2015 in Paris, MCB has joined forces with SloCaTi to create the Paris Process on Mobility and Climate (PPMC)ii , a dialogue platform that strengthens the voice of the world of sustainable transport in the climate negotiation process. GEODIS is contributing to the PPMC2, which is seeking to advance a global agreement on climate change that involves the transport sector and encourages it to take measures.
