What is a shipment number and where can I find it if I am a recipient ?

A shipment number is an identifier attached to each shipment.

This identifier allows you to track your delivery in your “recipient area”.

At GEODIS, each shipment has two identifiers.

1. The tracking number starting with 1G :
It is an alphanumeric reference consisting of 12 upper-case characters.
This number is also indicated by our driver on the notification left in your mailbox if you are absent when they come by.
If your supplier or merchant site has chosen to send you shipment tracking notifications by SMS or email, a link is provided in these messages.
It will allow you to easily log in to your tracking space.

2. Another identifier may be provided by your supplier or your merchant site :
The receipt number consisting of 14 numeric characters.
Example: 10888801234567
You can also use this alternative identifier to track your shipment by logging in to your “recipient area” and adding the postal code of the delivery location.
