A shipment number is an identifier attached to each shipment.

GEODIS provides you with two identifiers per shipment.

By consulting your dedicated customer area, you will find these two identifiers in the “Track my shipments” section.

1. The tracking number : It is an alphanumeric reference that starts with 1G and consists of 12 upper-case characters. It is often this identifier that is given to your recipient on the notification left by our driver if the recipient is absent on the first delivery attempt.
2. The receipt number : This is a numerical reference consisting of a maximum of 8 characters To communicate with GEODIS, you can use either of these identifiers.
