Foreign-Trade-Zones (FTZ)

Foreign-Trade-Zones (FTZ)

A Foreign-Trade Zone (FTZ) is an area within a facility – technically outside of Customs and Border Protection (CBP) territory – where merchandise of foreign origin is admitted into the United States. This status provides importers with the flexibility to consolidate and thereby reduce Merchandise Processing Fees (MPFs), improve cash flow by delaying duties and taxes, and expedite the movement of imported goods.

Our FTZ expertise offers an end-to-end integrated solution with any combination of FTZ administration, warehousing, customs brokerage and transportation to minimize risk, eliminate unnecessary fees, and decrease delays.

Customs Brokerage provides all required filings and renewals with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) for compliance purposes. Our licensed brokers stay up-to-date with the latest regulations, compliance requirements and trade programs to streamline your customs procedures through classification and customs entry processing. We work with the FTZ administrator to reduce your Merchandise Processing Fees (MPFs), eliminate the high cost of processing duty drawbacks, and improve your cash flow. See details

An FTZ administrator, or zone operator, ensures compliance with – and control over – government rules and regulations. They execute FTZ applications, bonds and activation with CBP, inventory control, as well as performing record-keeping, admissions, withdrawals, and reporting. Ultimately, FTZ Administration accepts customs liability for zone operations as the government agency liaison. As your zone operator, our expertise in both FTZ administration and customs will allow you to reduce the management resources you need to maintain compliance. We currently have 10 FTZ sites in the United States. See details

FTZ Warehouse Operators perform all of the physical activities related to the proper receipt, inventory management and shipping in the FTZ. This includes the physical and procedural security of inventory on-hand, sometimes requiring highly secured facilities within a bonded warehouse for high value goods. Our FTZ Operators work closely with FTZ administrators to ensure that accurate and timely information is shared between the entities. See details
